Some Noise is a song by the Spanish producer and disc jockey ALEX25. It was released worldwide on November 6, 2020 and is included on the studio album Stay Positive as the fifth of the six songs on it.
TOPIC AND TITLE
Some Noise is a song that deals with white noise used in music both as a secondary resource and in a main way and that in this composition is taken to an evident level due to its use in a sound foreground. Throughout the recent history of music, noise has been used to complete compositions or to make transitions among other purposes. In electronic music, white noise is used in a multitude of occasions, from the use in transitions between different parts of a song, as well as by effect used in dj mixes. White noise tends to bring energy to a genre that seeks this very thing.
The choice of the title Some Noise is coherent with the use of noise as the main axis in this ALEX25 production, although is only an approximate expression since the song itself not only uses 'some noise', as the title says, but also makes an intense use of white noise.
COMPOSITION AND INSPIRATION
ALEX25 focused its production on noise, the kick drum and the piano from the very beginning to try to capture the main and often used elements in electronic dance music. It is a simple composition in a first chorus where only the noise and the drum kick are heard, to later make the change to a piano progression, an instrument often used in house songs. With the break the voice of the singer sounds who says she feels a prisoner, which she means with this phrase, that she is a prisoner of the sound of the song. In the second chorus ALEX25 uses a synthesizer for chord progression and brings it all together with the voice.
Belonging to the Progressive House genre, the song has a 4 by 4 measure and is played at a tempo of 128 beats per minute. It is composed in the key C minor and the tonal range of the singers goes from A#2 to A#3.
